Chapel Time
"Chapel Time" squeals a young toddler as our guitar strumming, pastor leads the children into the sanctuary each Wednesday. What makes Chapel time such an exciting, welcoming, age-appropriate event for these young children?
First, we know that teaching our faith is asked of us:
"Now they were bringing even infants to Him that He might touch them, and when the disciples saw it, the rebuked them. But Jesus called them to him, saying, Let the children come to me and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God."
Weekly Chapel time provides all children and staff an opportunity to grow in their faith. Our goal is to create an environment that enables young children, staff and perhaps parents a time to encounter and worship God through active involvement and creative expression.
Weekly Chapel services are designed to provide the children with experiences that build upon the stories and themes they have explored in the classroom. As children observe and actively grow in the gift of faith, Chapel can expand on the foundation of faith that MLA provides. Thus, children will learn to trust other people, themselves and the world; and trust is the basis for faith development.
Worshiping must be FUN for everyone. Children's voices raised in praise will leave joy in everyone!
